About Me

Hi, I’m Nicole White, the photographer and videographer behind Gingersnaps Geelong. My love for photography is practically in my DNA—both my parents were photographers, so it’s always been part of my world. I followed that passion early, studying photography and heading to film school, turning a lifelong curiosity into a creative career.

After years of working with other companies and honing my craft, I launched Gingersnaps Geelong in October 2023—named for my ginger hair and my habit of always snapping away. These days, you’ll rarely catch me without a camera in hand—or at the very least, my iPhone, ready to capture something sweet and spontaneous.

While I’ve loved every type of session I’ve been part of, my heart is especially drawn to working with families and little ones. There’s something uniquely joyful about capturing a giggle between siblings, the chaotic sweetness of toddler play, or a furry friend striking their best pose. My recent work with childcare centres and kindergartens has only deepened my love for candid, connection-focused photography.

My style is true to colour, warm, relaxed, and natural. I focus on genuine connection and real moments—whether that’s a cheeky grin from a toddler, a quiet look between parents, or a perfectly timed “head tilt” from the family dog. I’ve even earned a bit of a reputation as a “dog whisperer”—and I’m not above making silly noises or busting out a dance move if it helps get the shot!
