General Booking Terms


Every Gingersnaps Geelong booking is a little different, so each service is covered by the client agreement most relevant to that type of shoot.


This may include portrait sessions, mini sessions, weddings, events, childcare photography, kinder photography or custom quoted services.


Before any photoshoot or service begins, a signed client agreement must be completed. This agreement covers the general terms of the booking and may refer to the specific details listed in your invoice, quote or booking schedule.


For custom quotes, your invoice or quote will outline the details specific to your booking, including the date, time, location, payment schedule, package inclusions, delivery timeframe and any other agreed details.

Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions


The following terms apply to all Gingersnaps Geelong gift certificates:

  1. Validity Period and Booking: Gift certificates issued by Gingersnaps Geelong are valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of issue. The recipient must book a session or service within this three-year period, though the actual service date can be scheduled for a future date beyond the three-year period, as agreed upon by both parties. Any rescheduling after the three-year booking period will be at the sole discretion of Gingersnaps Geelong.
  2. Responsibility to Book and Notify: It is the sole responsibility of the recipient to contact Gingersnaps Geelong and book their session or service. Gingersnaps Geelong is not obligated to initiate contact to schedule the service. Additionally, the recipient must notify Gingersnaps Geelong at the time of booking whether they intend to proceed with the package or quoted service originally issued with the gift certificate or if they wish to customise their service.
  3. Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable: Gift certificates are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. They are also non-refundable for change of mind.
  4. Service Redemption and Value: The value of the gift certificate is as specified on the certificate and can be applied towards either a predetermined package or special offer, or towards a custom service as agreed upon in an individual quote provided by Gingersnaps Geelong. The recipient may choose to redeem the certificate for the specified service or apply its value towards a different service. If the chosen service exceeds the value of the certificate, the recipient is responsible for paying the difference. The quoted service and price will be honoured for bookings made within the three-year validity period. However, if the service is rescheduled or changed beyond the original terms, any new quotation will be subject to current pricing at the time of the new booking.
  5. Service Quality and Remedies: In accordance with Australian consumer law, if the service provided does not meet the required standards of due care, skill, or if the service does not match the description provided, the recipient will be entitled to a remedy. This will typically involve applying the monetary value of the gift certificate towards a replacement or reperformed service. At the sole discretion of Gingersnaps Geelong, a refund may be offered as an alternative.
  6. Business Closure or Service Discontinuation: If Gingersnaps Geelong ceases operation or if the specific service associated with the gift certificate is no longer offered, the recipient will be entitled to a refund of the remaining monetary value of the gift certificate. This refund will be provided within a reasonable timeframe upon the cessation of operations or discontinuation of the service.
  7. No Additional Fees: No additional administration fees will be charged after the purchase of the gift certificate.
  8. Model Release and Privacy: The model release and privacy clauses that apply to the purchaser of the gift certificate will also apply to the recipient. However, the recipient retains the right to request in writing that their image not be used for marketing or promotional purposes.
  9. Lost or Stolen Certificates: Gingersnaps Geelong is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged gift certificates. Lost or stolen certificates will not be replaced.
  10. Partial Use and Balance: Any remaining balance on a gift certificate after a transaction will remain on the certificate and can be used for future services within the validity period.
  11. Legal Compliance: This clause and the use of gift certificates are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. Gingersnaps Geelong complies with all applicable consumer laws, and nothing in this clause is intended to limit or exclude any rights provided by law.
